MacroSolve Targets JPMorgan, LinkedIn Over Mobile App IP

Law360, New York (June 18, 2012, 6:03 PM ET) -- MacroSolve Inc. hit JPMorgan Chase & Co. and social networking company LinkedIn Corp. with separate patent infringement suits Monday, alleging the companies' mobile apps ripped off its data management technology — the latest case in MacroSolve's widespread defense of its patent.

The complaints, filed in Texas federal court, allege JPMorgan and LinkedIn have made and sold products or systems, including technology in their respective mobile phone apps, that infringe U.S. Patent Number 7,822,816, which covers a system and method for data management.
