Law360, New York (June 22, 2012, 3:00 PM ET) -- Semiconductor maker MediaTek Inc. is offering to scoop up competitor Mstar Semiconductor Inc. in a deal worth 54.9 billion Taiwan dollars (US$1.83 billion), as it attempts to stay on top in a tightening marketplace, MediaTek announced Friday.
