HP Settles Lawsuit Against Ink Cartridge Recycler

Law360, New York (June 07, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- Ink cartridge recycler LaserCycle Inc. has paid an undisclosed sum to settle a patent-infringement lawsuit brought by Hewlett-Packard Co.

Under the terms of the settlement agreement, the company has also agreed to refill cartridges with inks that are not covered by Hewlett-Packard patents.

Hewlett-Packard had sued InkCycle in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, alleging that the company's ink violates three HP patents.
