Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 5:07 PM ET) -- The U.K. Supreme Court handed Oracle Corp. a major win Wednesday, ruling that the California technology giant had the right to bring its products to the European market before resellers could offer those same products.
In a unanimous decision, the five justices sitting on the high court overturned an appeal decision in favor of U.K. technology hardware distributor M-Tech Data Inc., restoring a circuit court decision that awarded summary judgment to Sun Microsystems Inc., which was purchased by Oracle in 2010.
