Samsung Asks 9th Circ. To Save Panasonic Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (July 13, 2012, 8:09 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. argued Thursday that it had not waited too long to sue Panasonic Corp. for limiting competition for secure digital memory cards with patent licensing restrictions, telling the Ninth Circuit that well-established law allowed the electronics maker to challenge the continuing plot.
The South Korean company again urged the appeals court to reinstate its 2010 case accusing Panasonic and SD-3C LLC — a joint venture run by Panasonic as well as Toshiba Corp. and SanDisk Corp., neither of which were named as defendants...
