Law360, New York (July 13, 2012, 9:19 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday denied a request from HTC Corp. to overturn an administrative ruling that partially closed an investigation into allegations that Apple Inc. infringed eight HTC patents by importing products like the iPhone and iPad.
The decision upholds a June determination by Administrative Law Judge Thomas B. Pender, who reasoned that because HTC withheld documents from the commission and Apple demonstrating that HTC purchased five of the patents-in-suit from Google Inc., it could not complain they were infringed.
