Law360, New York (August 06, 2012, 7:54 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Monday ordered the National Collegiate Athletic Association to produce its media and licensing revenue reports in multidistrict litigation that alleged the organization and Electronic Arts Inc. violated antitrust laws by profiting from player likenesses.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Nathanael M. Cousins granted the student athletes’ bid to review revenue data collected from NCAA member schools, shooting down the organization’s argument that sharing the confidential information could have a “chilling effect” on the NCAA’s rights or those of its members.
