Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 1:12 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice signed off Thursday on Verizon Communications Inc.'s $3.9 billion deal to buy up spectrum from four of the country's largest cable companies but limited a related joint venture and series of cross-marketing deals that the agency warned could have hindered competition.
