Olympus, Anu Reach Deal In Thumb Drive Patent Battle

Law360, New York (September 07, 2012, 7:40 PM ET) -- Electronics titan Olympus Corp. on Thursday became the latest company to raise the white flag to patent-holding outfit Anu IP LLC, as it agreed to settle accusations in Texas and the U.S. International Trade Commission that it infringed Anu's patent covering retractable USB devices.

Olympus, along with its Olympus Corp. of the Americas unit and Anu agreed to dismiss the Texas suit with prejudice, and the companies moved for the ITC to terminate its investigation as it relates to Olympus pursuant to terms of a settlement...
