Law360, New York (December 20, 2012, 1:35 PM ET) -- Oracle Corp. will fork over about $871 million for fellow software company Eloqua Inc., the tech giant said Thursday, continuing a string of big-ticket buys as the company wedges itself deeper into a growing cloud-computing market.
Under the proposed terms, Eloqua shareholders would receive $23.50 per share, a 31 percent premium over Wednesday’s close. Pending approval from investors and regulators, Oracle said it expects to finalize its buy in the first half of next year.
