Law360, New York (February 08, 2013, 7:01 PM ET) -- Macmillan's decision to bow out of the U.S. Department of Justice's e-books price-fixing case Friday puts alleged ringleader Apple Inc. in a tough spot — to settle or not to settle.
Holtzbrinck Publishers LLC, which operates as Macmillan, on Friday became the last of the five publishers accused of conspiring to hike e-book prices to settle with the DOJ, leaving Apple the final defendant still fighting the antitrust watchdog in the case.
