EU Panel Votes To Loosen Data Protection Reform Regs

Law360, New York (February 21, 2013, 4:30 PM ET) -- The European Parliament's industry committee on Wednesday adopted dozens of amendments to a proposed data protection overhaul that would ease restrictions on companies' data collection and use practices and soften the threat of massive fines, amid mounting pressure from global organizations for a less restrictive regime.
