Law360, New York (October 01, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Microsoft Corp. has become the latest company targeted by DVD software maker MedioStream Inc. for allegedly infringing two patents related to digital recording technology.
In a complaint filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, MedioStream alleges Microsoft infringed U.S. Patent Numbers 7,009,655 and 7,283,172, both titled “Method and system for direct recording of video information onto a disk medium.”
The suit alleges that a “variety of electronic products” infringe the patents, but does not name any specific product.
