Law360, New York (May 20, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Texas attorney general hit four debt settlement companies with lawsuits Wednesday accusing them of misrepresenting the extent to which they can help financially strapped consumers reduce their debt, a day after New York's attorney general took two other debt settlement companies to court over consumer fraud.
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott filed suit Wednesday against DebtORResolution of Louisville, Ky.; Four Peaks Financial Services of Scottsdale, Ariz.; FH Financial Service of Dallas; and BC Credit Solution LLC of Mesquite, Texas.
