Law360, New York (November 18, 2009, 2:38 PM ET) -- A federal judge has once again denied telephone company Vtech Communications Inc.'s request to stay Motorola Inc.'s case against it, which accuses Vtech of infringing Motorola's patents by selling certain cordless phones.
Magistrate Judge Caroline M. Craven denied the request Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, disagreeing with Vtech that the case should be stayed pending the re-examination of Motorola's patents-in-suit by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
