MicroUnity Sues Apple, Others Over Media Patents

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 3:21 PM ET) -- MicroUnity Systems Engineering Inc. has fired off another infringement suit over media processing patents, this time targeting more than 20 technology heavyweights including Acer Inc., Google Inc., Nokia Corp. and Apple Inc.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based MicroUnity filed the complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claiming cell phones and processors manufactured by the defendants are infringing 15 of its patents.

The complaint also names as defendants AT&T Inc., Cellco Partnership (Verizon), Exedea Inc., HTC Corp., LG Electronics Inc., Mobilecomm USA...
