Texas Instruments Cleared In Microprocessor Spat

Law360, New York (February 15, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A court has sided with semiconductor maker Texas Instruments (TI), granting summary judgment in a patent infringement case brought by a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corp.

Dismissing the claims brought by Microprocessor Enhancement Corp, Chief U.S. District Judge Alicemarie Stotler of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ruled last Friday there was no genuine issue to be tried and ordered MEC to pay TI’s legal costs.
