Amazon, GE, Others Sued Over Power Switch Patent

Law360, New York (September 09, 2010, 2:18 PM ET) -- A Texas electronics maker has accused a raft of companies — including Amazon.com Inc., General Electric Co., Lowe's Cos. Inc. and The Home Depot Inc. — of infringing of a patent for a power switch controller.

Frisco, Texas-based Greenlight Technologies LLC lodged a complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, asserting infringement of U.S. Patent Number 6,356,038, titled "Microcomputer-controlled AC power switch controller and DC power supply method and apparatus."
