Law360, New York (September 24, 2010, 2:15 PM ET) -- Health care products and electronics maker Kaz Inc. has been accused of trying to hoodwink consumers and stifle competition by marking a model of its Vicks Steam Inhaler with expired patents.
Promote Innovation LLC lodged the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday, alleging that Kaz marked U.S. Patent Numbers 4,903,850 and D326,909 on the boxes of its Vicks Steam Inhaler Model V1200 after the patents had already expired.
