Law360, New York (April 04, 2011, 5:02 PM ET) -- The Sierra Club and the Environmental Defense Fund said Friday that they would drop a suit aimed at blocking construction of an International Power coal-fired power plant in Texas.
The groups filed the notice in the 261st District Court of Travis County, Texas, asking the presiding judge to dismiss the complaint without prejudice. Their notice did not give their reasons for dropping the suit, in which they claimed the IPA's planned expansion to a power plant near Victoria, Texas, would violate state and federal air quality...
