Law360, New York (May 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A lawsuit lodged in Mannheim, Germany has alleged that some of Boston Scientific Corp.’s balloon catheter products infringe a German patent asserted by SciCo Tec GmbH.
The suit was filed on April 19 against Boston Scientific and subsidiary Boston Scientific Nedizintechnik GmbH, according to Boston Scientific’s latest U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. SciCo lodged a similar suit in Texas on March 30, 2007. Boston Scientific expects to file an answer in both cases, and has denied the allegations.
