Law360, New York (June 01, 2011, 8:43 PM ET) -- A former Clark Thomas & Winters PC partner was sentenced in Texas state court Tuesday to spend 500 days in jail, 10 years on probation and pay $222,000 for his role in a kickback scandal that helped sink the firm.
The sentencing came just after a Kendall County, Texas, jury found Walter Demond guilty of first-degree felony theft and second-degree felony money laundering and misapplication of fiduciary property, according to the Texas attorney general’s office.
