Law360, New York (June 08, 2011, 3:45 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Labor filed a $1 million suit against a Texas child protection state agency in federal court on Wednesday, accusing it of failing to pay 800 employees overtime pay in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The Labor Department said that employees in a division of the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services worked off the clock and were instructed by supervisors not to record all of their hours worked.
