Law360, Los Angeles (June 21, 2011, 4:57 PM ET) -- A Texas company on Monday sued Electronic Arts Inc., Symantec Corp., Valve LLC and 10 other software publishers alleging widespread infringement of two patents for software activation technology.
The suit by Achates Reference Publishing Inc. — its third to enforce the same patents — marks an aggressive push to go after major software companies it accuses of using its patented technology without permission or compensation.
