Law360, New York (April 06, 2012, 2:31 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company TQP Development LLC sued Google Inc., LinkedIn Corp., Earthlink Inc. and a host of other Internet, job recruitment and software companies Thursday in Texas federal court, alleging infringement of its oft-asserted patent covering data encryption technology.
TQP claims each of the defendants employ data transmission technology that infringes U.S. Patent Number 5,412,730, issued in May 1995 and titled “Encrypted data transmission system employing means for randomly altering the encryption keys."
