LG, AT&T Targeted In Smartphone Tech Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 2:09 PM ET) -- LG Electronics Inc. and AT&T Inc. were hit Thursday with a suit in Texas federal court claiming LG’s smartphones infringe several smartphone technology patents, and that AT&T markets and sells the infringing models.

In a complaint filed in Texas federal court, SmartPhone Technologies LLC claims LG and its service provider AT&T marketed and sold smartphones that infringed nine patents covering a wide range of technologies used in smartphones.
