HarperCollins, Hachette Near E-Book Price-Fixing Deal

Law360, Los Angeles (May 01, 2012, 10:19 PM ET) -- HarperCollins Publishers LLC and Hachette Book Group Inc. have reached a tentative settlement with 15 states suing over alleged Apple Inc. e-books price-fixing, a Texas state official said Monday, prompting a New York federal judge overseeing related multidistrict litigation to stay the states’ lawsuit against the two publishers.
