Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 1:36 PM ET) -- A patent-holder hit Research In Motion Corp. with an infringement suit in Texas federal court Tuesday, accusing the BlackBerry maker of ripping off patented mobile email technology with its BlackBerry Enterprise Server software.
Mobile Telecommunications Technologies LLC, which says it owns a portfolio of former SkyTel Communications technology, claims BlackBerry's popular business email system infringes five patents that cover a range of email features, such as storing undelivered messages.
The complaint asks the court to bar RIM from using the technology and to grant MTEL damages...
