Homeland Insurance Sues To Dodge Software Cos.' IP Battle

Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 2:01 PM ET) -- Homeland Insurance Co. of New York on Tuesday asked a federal judge to find it has no responsibility to defend RealPage Inc. in a lawsuit the property management software company is facing from a rival over allegedly stolen trade secrets.

The underlying suit, filed by Yardi Systems Inc., alleges RealPage stole proprietary company information after purchasing a former Yardi consulting group in 2009.
