Law360, New York (June 25, 2012, 5:37 PM ET) -- A Texas federal judge on Monday trimmed T. Wade Welch & Associates’ counterclaims against OneBeacon Insurance Co. in a dispute over whether the insurer should cover sanctions issued against the Texas law firm in its representation of EchoStar Communications Corp.
U.S. District judge Gray H. Miller dismissed TWW’s claims for breach of good faith and fair dealing claims with prejudice, sparing certain fraud claims by TWW over unfair insurance practices in violation of the Texas insurance code and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
