Law360, New York (July 09, 2012, 4:44 PM ET) -- A Texas federal judge on Monday rescinded an order that had allowed TiVo Inc. to amend patent infringement claims against Verizon Communications Inc. to include additional claims against Cisco Systems Inc. after TiVo unexpectedly filed a separate suit against Cisco.
U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap had issued the order giving TiVo leave to amend based on its statements that not doing so would force the company to file another lawsuit against Cisco, which it indicated that it did not want to do, according to Monday’s order....
