Vanguard Health Gets OK To Build $350M Children’s Hospital

Law360, Houston (September 07, 2012, 6:38 PM ET) -- The University of Texas System Board of Regents on Friday approved an agreement with Vanguard Health Systems to build a $350 million, 250-bed children’s hospital in San Antonio, which will be jointly administered by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Kenneth L. Kalkwarf, interim president of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, said the agreement will bring world-class pediatric care to the region and will provide students and medical residents with transformational educational and research experiences.
