EON Sues Apple, LG, Pantech Over Wireless Data Patents

Law360, Los Angeles (December 20, 2012, 12:05 PM ET) -- Wireless technology company EON Corp. IP Holdings LLC sued Apple Inc., LG Electronics MobileComm USA Inc. and Pantech Wireless LLC in Texas federal court on Wednesday, saying the consumer electronics makers infringed several patents for wireless nationwide data transmission technology.

Tyler, Texas-based EON, formerly known as TV Answers Inc., raised allegations that each of the manufacturers willingly used EON’s patented data transfers technology while refusing to pay licensing fees.
