Law360, New York (April 20, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy has asked for a new trial or for his case to be vacated, and for the recusal of the judge overseeing his case.
Scrushy’s attorneys said Wednesday that “newly discovered evidence” warranted a new trial. They also asked for U.S. Judge Mark Fuller of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama to be recused.
The documents, though, have all been sealed. Fuller has given the government until Monday to respond to the motion.
