Judge Slams Feds' Witness In Lindsey FCPA Case

Law360, New York (May 03, 2011, 10:25 PM ET) -- A federal judge raised serious questions Tuesday about the adequacy of the government’s criminal case alleging electrical parts maker Lindsey Manufacturing Co. and two of its executives paid bribes for contracts to officials at a Mexican state-owned utility.

The company, its President Keith Lindsey and its CFO Steve Lee are accused of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by paying an intermediary to lavish gifts and money on high-level executives of Comision Federal de Electricidad in order to win contracts with the electrical utility.
