Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 5:55 PM ET) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Thursday sentenced a consultant involved in bankrupt beverage maker Le-Nature's Inc.'s $668 million accounting fraud to 10 years in prison.
U.S. District Judge Alan N. Bloch of federal court in Pittsburgh sentenced Andrew Murin, 55, to the maximum prison term, rejecting the defendant's plea that he was not intimately involved in the scheme. Murin pled guilty to one count of bank, wire and mail fraud in June, reversing an earlier not guilty plea.
