Law360, New York (January 04, 2012, 5:24 PM ET) -- A professional lobbyist pled guilty Wednesday to bribing recently resigned New York state Sen. Carl Kruger, leaving only a single defendant to face trial in the case over the Albany, N.Y., power broker's large-scale corruption.
Richard Lipsky, 64, admitted he had in 2008 paid Kruger-linked entities a “referral fee” after the senator directed clients his way, with the understanding that Kruger would be in his pocket afterward.
