Scruggs Cites Skilling In 5th Circ. Appeal Of Fraud Conviction

Law360, New York (August 01, 2012, 8:30 PM ET) -- Imprisoned former attorney Richard "Dickie" Scruggs on Tuesday told the Fifth Circuit that a lower court was wrong to uphold his conviction over a scheme to influence a Mississippi judge, citing the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Skilling narrowing the scope of honest services fraud.
