RICO-Charged NJ Atty Seeks Prosecutor Misconduct Hearing

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 6:17 PM ET) -- Paul Bergrin, a prominent New Jersey criminal defense attorney whose law firm was allegedly a criminal racketeering operation, argued Tuesday for a pretrial hearing on alleged prosecutorial misconduct before a new trial in the case begins.

The government contends that Bergrin used his law practice to instigate murder and tamper with witnesses, traffic drugs, aid prostitution and evade taxes, according to court documents.
