Law360, New York (June 13, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Three Canadian gasoline retailers and one individual have pled guilty to fixing the price of gasoline in an ongoing criminal probe that alleges 11 companies participated in the cartel, competition authorities said.
Les Pétroles Therrien Inc., Distributions Pétrolières Therrien Inc. and Ultramar Ltée pled guilty in the Quebec Superior Court in Victoriaville Thursday and were fined a total of $1.95 million, Canada's Competition Bureau said.
An Ultramar employee, Jacques Ouellet, also pled guilty and was fined about $48,652.
