Civil Rights Challenge To Ala. Wage Law Gains Support

Prominent civil rights groups, legal historians and local politicians urged the Eleventh Circuit on Monday to review the dismissal of a federal suit alleging Alabama state legislators discriminated against Birmingham blacks by preempting an ordinance to raise the city's minimum wage.
