A Nashville bar and hotel agreed to pay a group of bartenders and servers $80,000 to settle a class action filed in Tennessee federal court accusing the business of shorting employees on minimum and overtime wages as well as tips when it required significant side work.

A Nashville hotel bar shorted bartenders and servers on minimum wage and overtime pay by making them spend significant time doing untipped work and took out tips before distributing them, a former employee has said in a proposed collective action in Tennessee federal court.
