The Eleventh Circuit said Tuesday it won't revive a former juvenile court chief judge's lawsuit alleging two Georgia counties and the state paid her less and were hostile toward her because of her gender, ruling the judge wasn't an employee of the government entities.

Two Georgia counties accused by a former juvenile court chief judge of work-related sex bias and retaliation asked the Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday to uphold a lower court's dismissal of her pay disparity case, saying she was not their employee.
