An anti-union group has no constitutional right to sit in on the Washington state labor department's employee orientation sessions, a Washington federal judge said Tuesday in a ruling that sought to prevent the sessions from unraveling "into an ideological black hole."

Washington state's labor department on Friday asked a federal judge to toss an anti-union group's attempt to sit in on the department's new employee orientation sessions, arguing that there are other reasonable ways to contact workers, such as mailings and bulletin board postings.
