A Salvation Army in Michigan agreed to pay $25,000 to settle a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission suit accusing it of firing a worker because of his disability, according to a court order.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission accused the Salvation Army in Michigan federal court of firing an employee because he had scoliosis, bipolar disorder and muscle spasms, thus violating federal disability law.
