Attys Seek $5.5M Award In NYC Strip Club Wage Settlement
Exotic dancers who reached a $15 million wage-and-hour settlement with the operators of strip club Rick's Cabaret asked a New York federal judge Monday to approve $5.5 million in attorney compensation, plus service payments for the "courageous" women who lent their names to the case.

Former exotic dancers at Manhattan strip club Rick's Cabaret who brought a minimum wage class and collective action against club operator Peregrine Enterprises Inc. were employees, not independent contractors as Peregrine had argued, a New York federal judge ruled Tuesday.
