UniTek Gets Nod For Technician OT Settlement
A Maryland federal judge on Thursday signed off on a settlement between UniTek Global Services Inc. and a collective of satellite TV technicians suing the company for stiffing them on overtime pay, ending a five-year suit that at one point was closed because the company had declared bankruptcy.

A Maryland federal judge conditionally certified a class of satellite TV technicians Tuesday in an overtime collective action against UniTek Global Services Inc., unswayed by the argument that the court should apply heightened scrutiny to the certification bid because some discovery had been completed.

Technicians' FLSA Case Survives Unitek Dismissal Bid
A Maryland federal judge on Wednesday left intact most of a putative class and collective action brought against UniTek Global Services Inc. by satellite TV technicians who claim they weren't paid overtime wages.
