Patent's Annulment Dooms Claims Against Amazon, Google
Google Inc., Amazon.com Inc. and Vibrant Media Inc. are off the hook in a patent dispute over customized hyperlinks after the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office canceled the challenged claims on the patent, according to a filing in Delaware federal court on Wednesday.

Walker Digital LLC hit Google Inc., Microsoft Corp., Amazon.com Inc., Yahoo Inc. and Vibrant Media Inc. with nearly identical lawsuits Tuesday, alleging that each company's targeted ad service infringes a newly issued Walker Digital patent for providing customized electronic hyperlinks.
