6th Circ. Backs Chesapeake In Ohio Gas Lease Fight
The Sixth Circuit on Wednesday sided with Chesapeake Exploration LLC in a dispute with Ohio landowners, saying a lower court correctly determined that landowners have no right to terminate Chesapeake's oil and gas leases if the company refuses to match third-party offers to lease the land.
