Order on Motion to Strike
MINUTE ORDER: Defendant has filed a 32 bill of costs. Plaintiff has filed a 36 motion to strike Defendant's bill of costs, arguing that Defendant failed to confer with opposing counsel, as required by LCvR 7(m). However, a bill of costs is not a "motion" subject to LCvR 7(m). Rather, the taxation of costs is governed by LCvR 54.1, which imposes no duty to confer with opposing counsel prior to filing a bill of costs. Accordingly, Plaintiff's 36 motion is DENIED. Signed by Judge Timothy J. Kelly on 5/14/2018. (lctjk1)
